This week I was reading up on policies and use of depleted uranium in war and how it leaves a lasting effect on generations of people, not to mention the environment.
Even before most other big newspapers or media companies had this issue on their radar, I as a student journalist had reported the story in 2004. I first learned of the issue through the pages of Scientific American, a magazine I read often.
(I know, I’m trumpeting. I think we are sometimes allowed that).
Or perhaps what I’m really trying to say is that I want to work at a newspaper or media company where I can once again be ahead of the game … ahead of the curve and report stories that really matter.
